The Ultimate 2-Day Getaway At This Exotic Resort
The Kiki Beach Resort in Batam, where the sun-kissed shores and tranquil vibes await, has been making waves on the gram lately. While most folks recommended a quick two-day trip, SM and I thought, “Why rush?” and extended our stay a bit longer to unwind over our birthdays truly.
Nestled on Galang Island, at first look, it may be a shock for many as it’s not the closest resort one can find to Batam Centre. However, Kiki Beach Resort tried to make the journey at ease by providing chauffeur service at 40 SGD/pax, the best part? You can get them to pick you up anywhere in Batam. And for us, we have them pick us up from our Airbnb, Pollux Habibi. We hopped on a cosy ride and took a power nap before being whisked away on a boat that hugged the shores of the South China Sea.
Book a minimum of 2 night stay through Kiki’s website to receive 400,000 IDR credited to your stay!
My experience at Kiki Beach Resort
With only a handful of glamping huts, Kiki Beach Resort keeps things intimate. We had opted for a sea villa, boasting breathtaking views and seclusion, a combination of privacy and amazing views. Sure, it’s a bit of a walk to the main activities, but it’s all about slow living, right?
Upon arrival, we were greeted with a welcome drink that set the tone for our stay – a refreshing mocktail with a sugary twist. It was so good that I had a second. And let me tell you, having the whole resort to ourselves on the first day was an unexpected bonus, giving us the freedom to explore at our own pace. With the Indonesian heat in full swing, the staff even cranked the AC up in our hut, ensuring our comfort from the get-go.
Sure, there were a few hiccups along the way – like finding out that some of the popular activities, such as ATVs and Speed boats, that were raved by many were under maintenance. Still, we had a blast paddling through the waves slightly offshore to get to the mangroves. Talk about an adrenaline rush! Really, I was too focused on staying afloat to snap any pics but trust me; it’s an experience you won’t want to miss. P.S. If you’re afraid of the sea and have not acquired the skill to swim, please do not try this activity because the journey to the mangroves can be quite choppy. There were moments when I felt the kayak shaking tremendously.
With meals sourced fresh daily, options may be limited, but what about the flavours? Yummiliciou! Plus, booking through their site scored us some extra cash at 400,000IDR to splurge on some fireworks!
My Verdict for Kiki Beach Resort?
In summary, if you’re craving an action-packed getaway, Kiki Beach Resort might not be your jam. But if you’re all about unwinding seaside with good company and even better views, then trust me, this slice of paradise is calling your name. So pack your bags, folks, and get ready for a beachside escape like no other!
